Overview
Every year, workplaces around the world report serious injuries linked to poorly maintained or incorrectly operated machinery. Machinery safety training helps workers and employers reduce this risk by building a clear, practical understanding of how equipment works, how it should be used, and how it should be maintained. This course covers the full lifecycle of workplace machinery - from fundamentals and components through to operation, maintenance, and modern smart equipment.
Many workplace incidents happen not because of faulty design, but because of gaps in operator knowledge, inconsistent maintenance routines, or equipment being used outside its intended capacity. This course addresses those gaps directly. Learners work through real operational scenarios covering motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, sensors, and controls, alongside the maintenance and troubleshooting skills needed to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
This course is designed for global learners and professionals who work with or around machinery in any capacity - whether on a factory floor, in a warehouse, on a construction site, or in a maintenance role. As a result, the content is written to be relevant across regulatory frameworks, including references to recognised standards such as ISO 45001, OSHA, EU-OSHA, and HSE, giving learners a strong foundation regardless of where they work.
